The best hikes in the Cilento region
Cilento is not all about the sea. It also offers a wide range of walks, hiking trails, historic and educational trails, and trails dedicated to Nordic walking. The convenient location of our resort gives you easy access to the vast network of hiking trails in Cilento. As part of our daily program of activities, upon reservation, the guides at the resort will gladly take you on hikes and show you the most fascinating places on the Cilento Coast. Below is a selection of activities with some suggestions for your excursions in Cilento.
Trekking in nature parks
Within the Cilento Nature Park, there are countless hiking trails near our apartment resort. The extensive network includes everything, from loop trails that cross the beautiful Cilento Coast, to routes that lead to Porto degli Infreschi, Cala Bianca and Pozzallo Beach, to more challenging hikes that reach different scenic and/or educational places, with visits to Paleolithic caves or mountain trails.
Excursions in Cilento: walks
Among the various hiking trails in Cilento there are many walks that start right from Marina di Camerota, which are easy and suitable for everyone. In particular, we recommend the "Sentiero delle 4 Spiagge" ("Path of the 4 Beaches"), which let you enjoy the picturesque landscape of the coast, its coves, inlets and pristine, crystal clear waters. Along the way you will be able to admire fantastic towers from the Saracen era, or visit the Paleolithic Museum or the Infreschi Museum. Starting from Marina di Camerota, you can walk the "Sentiero delle 12 chiese" (Trail of the 12 Churches) visiting also the hamlets in the hinterland of the municipality. Along this path, you can enjoy a pleasant experience discovering the production of terracotta by local master craftsmen.
Historic trails to discover the Paleolithic era
On the list of recommended excursions in Cilento, you cannot miss the historic-educational trails that delve into the theme of the first settlements of Paleolithic man. If you are a history buff, we recommend a visit to the Paleolithic Museum in Marina di Camerota, a virtual and multimedia museum designed to offer an immersive and comprehensive experience of the Paleolithic era.
